D. R. Domenichini Construction Newsletter

Issue: Spring 2013

Note from Tara:  Hello Readers and welcome to our Spring Newsletter for 2013.   For many of us this means taking out our gardening tools and digging up our gardens!  And for others it's all about spring cleaning and remodeling.  However, we all have one thing in common and that is - many many trips to Home Depot and/or Lowes!!!

With all the fun tools available on the web today, it is hard to keep track of all of the resources. If you haven't done so already, check out Houzz - the latest and greatest online home design resource.  The site offers, "The largest collection of interior design and decorating ideas on the Internet, including kitchens and bathrooms".  It's really cool!

As a user you can create a Houzz ideabook filled with photos that designers have uploaded to provide you with inspiration and you can bring it with you everywhere because there is a phone app too, of course! Houzz has over 1 million photos and 1.8 million "ideabooks" that users have created; the options for interaction are endless.

If you have home improvement problems, simply post your "design dilemma(s)" to the Houzz community (include photos if you have them), and get advice from professionals and homeowners alike.

So if you are thinking about a new design project, or you're in the middle of one, creating your own ideabook is a must.  It's so easy and of course free.  And while you're there don't forget to check us out on Houzz under D.R. Domenichini Construction.

Few things are more exciting than starting a new project - especially a home project.  But with all that new energy comes the responsibility of making decisions that can affect your home and your family for years, even decades. What is the best way to get everything you want out of your new home or remodel?   How can you have a design that will stand the test of time and is flexible enough to accommodate life's unforeseen changes? Communicating your home wish list will help your architect create a plan that works well for you now and in the years to come.

Spring has sprung and it's time for all you "Car Guys" and "Car Gals" to get your rides out of storage!
There are many nice car shows coming up this year. I am personally involved with a great one: The Taste of Morgan Hill. It's actually much more than just a "Car Show". Click here for more information.
In the past, I have spotlighted Sophia, Olivia and Walt. Now it's time to talk about JB (my 1973 Dodge Challenger). I got JB in 2001 as a "basket-case". It has been a father and son project. We have installed a new engine and transmission. (For you gear-heads... it's a 340 small block with a TorqueFlite 727 transmission.) We also had the interior, body and paint done. The car has come a long way but still needs some minor "sorting". I haven't been driving it much but hope to drive it more this year. And I suggest that you other car enthusiats do the same. Drive 'em!
Upcoming local Car Shows:
April 27-28: Pacific Coast Dream, Half Moon Bay
May 16-18: Salute to American Graffiti, Petaluma
June1-2: Goodguys Annual Summer Get Together, Pleasanton
June 8-9: Capitola Rod and Custom Classic Car Show, Capitola
June 22: Woodies on The Wharf, Santa Cruz
With space always an issue, especially with young children and all their toys, I came across this space saving furniture company.  Check it out ... ...
