10 Ways to Make
Your Online Profile Stand Out
by Alan Avitan
Online Dating Coach

In the fast-paced digital age we live in there are few things that have become immune to the rapid rise in efficiency, dating being no exception . The modern dating landscape has rapidly changed from offline to online, from bar hopping to thumb swiping, and long awkward phone calls to quick easy chats.

As an online dater myself I completely understand how daunting it can be to create a dating profile. After all, trying to figure out which pictures of you look the best, trying to come up with that stellar bio that makes you sound cool without coming off as full of yourself, and hoping that what you've included is just enough to get the right people interested.

The world of online dating has allowed us to connect with more people, faster and easier than ever before. That said, it's also made it that much more competitive given the amount of options we now have. It's therefore even more important that your profile stands out and gets noticed by the people you're actually interested in.
If online dating is one of the outlets you use to meet people, a great profile is key. A generic profile that doesn't say much can be easily overlooked, so below are my tips for making your dating profile stand out from the crowd.

1. Your first picture matters!
People probably go through tens if not hundreds of profiles at a time so it's important that your first picture grab their attention. A great quality picture taken with a professional camera can set you far apart from one taken on a phone and can easily make you stand out from all the other pictures there seeing.
