Wildflower Walk at Galbreath Preserve

Stroll with us through the colors and textures of spring. Local experts will open our eyes to the diversity and splendor of the season in Mendocino County. And who knows what we will find? This is a joint endeavor of the Anderson Valley Land Trust, Navarro River Resource Center and SSU’s CEI.

Event Logistics:

Details: We will meet at 10:00 am at the Yorkville post office (directions to follow upon registration) and carpool to the Preserve.The event will be capped at 30 people. If you have a 4-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicle and are willing to drive, please indicate in your registration email to Trey Petrey. We will be spending our time driving from point to point on the preserve with some walking and bending to examine what we find. You will be asked to sign a waiver. There is a restroom available at two stops. No pets or smoking are permitted.

What to Bring: Bring water and a snack. A wildflower field guide might be useful if you have one. Light-colored long pants are recommended in tick territory. Hat and sunscreen always a good idea. Bring a camera or smartphone as we would love to record what we find.

Those who are interested will meet at the Yorkville Market afterward to share our experiences. Please look at the menu and call the market to select what you would like in advance to expedite the process.
