2016 QUICKBOOKS DISCONTINUED!
 

If you are still using QuickBooks 2016, you will need to purchase the newest version, QuickBooks 2019 in order to continue using Intuit features and services in the software.  Payroll, merchant services and bank and credit card downloads will no longer work in QuickBooks after the sunset date.  You will begin seeing notices in your QuickBooks file.  While I recommend upgrades much more frequently due to changes and improvements over each year, this 4 year deadline is an absolute requirement to continue using the product safely.  Please understand that Intuit will no longer support this software and you should begin to backup your company file more frequently in case of application failure.

PRICE INCREASE FOR RIGHT NETWORKS CLIENTS


We received notification on May 31, 2019 that there will be a price increase for the Right Networks Cloud Platform of $2.00 per user.  This price increase will become effective with the July 2019 invoice to CLN Consulting Associates and we will pass that pirice increase on to clients on the July 10th billing.  You will receive a new Recurring Payment Agreement reflecting this new billing amount within the next few weeks.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions.

As always, email is the best way to reach me and email is checked more frequently including holidays, weekends and evening hours.  The telephone number for the office is listed below and this is a Comcast Business landline.  The telephone is generally not  answered in the evening or on weekends or holidays, however the Comcast Business App allows me to check voicemails remotely. 

The cell phone 404-376-0514 has not been monitored for telephone calls or text messages since February.  An auto response is issued for both messages and this telephone number will be disconnected.  I am NOT getting any messages if you text or leave a voicemail.   If you need to reach me, please use the number listed below.

WHAT IS ON THE WISH LIST FOR YOUR BUSINESS?


Many of you have a "wish list" of things you would like to change about your business or more specifically about your internal operations.  Changes in technology and changes in the way you perform your services and/or provide products to your customers are constantly evolving and oftentimes we don't make changes in our business that optimize our ability to keep up and move on.  Are you looking to be more flexible in the way your work and looking for cloud solutions?  Do you need a better tracking system for time spent on jobs or an easier faster way to pay your vendors and providers?  The way we did it 15 years ago doesn't work today!  

I have talked to some of you individually and I think that we are on track to make some significant changes to improve the back office accounting processes and procedures.  We have a handful of cloud and app solutions and several clients are already experiencing benefits from these new cloud apps that work with QuickBooks.   Many of you have heard me talk about TSheets, a time-keeping app over the last few years and it was bought out last year by Intuit.  The integration between TSheets and QuickBooks continues to improve and offer many advantages over traditional time-keeping and payroll tracking activities.  Bill.com is an external app that integrates with QuickBooks and offers some very advanced Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable features.  While it has been around for years, I only recently introduced this app for a client and even though we are only using the bill payment side,  I'm amazed at the benefits.  While many of the new apps only work with QuickBooks Online, some of the more established apps like TSheets and Bill.com work with QuickBooks Desktop Versions as well.
