Early this week I was driving home and got caught in an unusual traffic jam. Under normal circumstances our traffic is hardly noteworthy, but like the rest of Washington, Spokane is under the stay home, stay healthy mandate so a traffic jam was quite a surprise. Apparently, the community had organized a ‘socially separated’ thank you parade for workers at the school.

Through one of our sister companies, OEG was connected with a company called Best GEN Modular, who are located in Arizona and are specialists in modular fabrication. Their book of work has mainly been hospitality and multifamily, but they are in the process of quickly retooling their processes to instead create modular patient care rooms.

In the midst of an unprecedented world-wide epidemic, a remarkable partnership came together. A collaboration of an unconventional trio―a construction firm, a restauranteur, and a nonprofit corneal eye bank used sheer ingenuity to fortify our healthcare professionals while supporting local restaurant workers in this time of need. Aldrich + Associates joined forces with Chef John Howie and SightLife to provide meals to hospital staff on the frontline of COVID-19 while putting restaurant workers to work in our community.
