Congress recently passed the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act which provides COVID-19 relief grant funding for students enrolled in higher education. This is often referred to as the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF II).
You met the criteria for a HEERF II grant disbursement.
This grant should be reflected in your student account as of this morning. These funds will not be applied to any outstanding balance; the funds will be directed to you. You do not need to do anything to accept these funds.
Funding amounts were based on a formula that considered your Expected Family Contribution from the 2020-2021 FAFSA and your full-time or part-time status for the Spring 2021 semester. Alternatively, if you did not file a FAFSA or you did not have a valid FAFSA (outstanding verification documents), you were awarded the minimal amount.
These funds can be expended on anything related to the cost of attendance or educational expenses, such as daycare, housing, medical fees, etc.
If you have questions about your disbursement, please contact the ISU Cashier’s Office at (208) 282-2900. If you have a question about FAFSA, please contact Financial Aid (208) 282-2756 or email finaidem@isu.edu.
