Dear friends and colleagues,
As we close out 2021, we want to address and thank our students.
The challenges of this year have been brutal, and as they kept piling up, it was your perseverance that sustained and uplifted us. You inspired us with your commitment to your work, your fierce creativity, your deep care for each other in these uncaring times. We are moved by your insistence on imagining otherwise, and your organizing to get us there, here in the university and beyond. To those of you graduating this year, class of 2021, congratulations! Everything you have accomplished these past years, even and especially those that are not quantifiable by grades, be proud of it. You are much more than your grades. Keep doing work that matters!
Sincerely,
Nancy Kwak
