The School of Public and International Affairs' (SPIA) Assistant Professor Al Gourrier, Assistant Professor Kelechi Uzochukwu and Assistant Professor Sarah Federman are the latest faculty members to be accepted to the Fulbright Specialist Program Roster. The highly selective Fulbright Specialist Program is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs that sends U.S. faculty and professionals to serve as researchers and expert consultants on curriculum, faculty development, institutional planning and related subjects at overseas academic institutions. Acceptance to the roster places these faculty members among a competitive pool of candidates who are eligible to be matched with projects designed by host institutions in more than 150 countries around the world, at any time during their tenure on the roster.

With these most recent candidates, the College of Public Affairs now has six Fulbright-eligible faculty members, including Professor Alan Lyles and Associate Professor Lorenda Naylor from SPIA, and Associate Professor Gabriela Wasileski from the School of Criminal Justice.
