April is the month volunteers are celebrated nationally and at Clarehouse we gladly join that celebration. Volunteer contributions make the Clarehouse mission viable. With challenges presented by COVID-19, volunteers have had to adjust to constant change. Clarehouse Volunteers Provide Loving Care
and Warm Hospitality
Karen Bishop states, “I chose to volunteer at Clarehouse after experiencing the kindness and compassion the staff and volunteers showed my family member several years ago. As a Welcome Desk volunteer, I greet the guest and family to make them feel comfortable upon their arrival. My hope is that I can be a light to help ease their anxiety.”
Thomas Keeter volunteers weekly as a care assistant working alongside Clarehouse care staff. Thomas states, “After I finish an evening volunteering I spend most of the next day thinking about what I experienced and how I reacted to it. I wasn't expecting that. I have been struck by how the dignity and comfort of the guest and their family permeates every bit of Clarehouse.”

Members of the Bixby Chapter of the National Charity League have assisted in maintaining our beautiful grounds through the spring, summer and fall the past three years. Their service nurtures guests and families through the beauty and comfort of nature.

Clarehouse COVID Testing - Proactive testing helps stop the spread!
Every 4th Wednesday of the month, we offer FREE drive-thru testing on our campus from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The testing clinic is open to all community members.
