I hope your first few weeks of the fall semester are going as smoothly as can be expected. While the spring semester is still months away, I wanted to share an important update with you.

 

With local and state COVID-19 cases creating a dynamic situation, Grossmont College will continue to keep most of its classes online for the Spring 2021 semester. There will be very few exceptions, mostly in career education classes and labs that are difficult to teach remotely. We believe that keeping the spring semester mostly online is the best way to keep our community safe and healthy.

 

Registration for Spring 2021 starts on November 16, 2020.  You should receive a registration appointment via email during the first week of November. Be sure that your email address is correct in WebAdvisor. In the meantime, I encourage you to meet with a counselor to discuss or update your education plan so you can make sure you're meeting the requirements to successfully obtain your degree or certificate, or to transfer to a university.

 

To meet with a counselor, contact Counseling Services at Grossmont.edu/counseling. They offer virtual appointments and you can ask quick questions using their Ask a Counselor form. I also encourage you to visit the Transfer Center website and attend one of their workshops if you plan to transfer to a university in Fall 2021. Lastly, to help pay your living and educational expenses in Spring 2021, I encourage you to apply for a scholarship by October 31, 2020.
