Greetings BDC Campers, families and friends!
It’s June 1st and summer is officially around the corner! The BDC Leadership Team met last Saturday to discuss new communication tactics and tour our EXPANDING campus. Changes are all around us at 3570 Main Street and we are thrilled to show them to YOU - our BDC families and friends! The parking lot has been rebuilt with brand new Safe Walking Paths and entrances and our assembly areas and play spaces have been given some thoughtful additions. Check out some of our EXPANSIONS below and feel free to come see them in person!
In less than three weeks, Brewster Day Camp will come to life! Our Leadership Team will EXPAND to include the 2022 Work Crew who will spend the week setting up the campus, the pool and our Nickerson State Park waterfront area. Go Team!
As the days continue to get longer and warmer, do you find yourself coming out of hibernation (literally and figuratively)? Can you feel your body and mind EXPANDING, taking in the morning sun and the evening shadows, the green trees and the fresh flowers? Enjoy the month of June and relish in its brightness. We will see you all very soon! Until then, and as always, we wish you long days filled with Courage, Hope, Good Spirit & Peace!
Sincerely,

Check out our new and improved Admirals Hill Assembly Area (photo left)! Leadership Team members and Directors, Will Mason and Max Michel, EXPANDED the original space by uprooting and replanting every bench on the hill - whew! And we have added a new GAGA Pit under a sun tent near the BDC Beach ready for you to come play in shade (photo right)! See you soon...

Executive Director, Milisa 'misa' Galazzi, is continuing to make our campus look beautiful in every season! She is creating a purple perennial garden near our new Entrance Arbor close to the Welcome Walk. If you are currently growing purple creeping floxx or purple iris or purple anything and are thinning your flower beds in the next few weeks, please email misa@brewsterdaycamp.com to make a time to meet. Thank you in advance for sharing your extra transplants by sending them to 3570 Main Street!

It Takes a Village To Do What We Do!
|
It takes a village to raise stable and loving children in a chaotic world! As we continue to EXPAND our campus infrastructure, we also continue to partner with many organizations to fulfill our important mission. Each month in eWAVES, we will highlight a vendor who supports our work with their work - ever EXPENDING our rich community!
This month we are singing the praises of THE YARD GARD, a locally owned and operated lawn and pest control vendor who uses all organic products. As owner, John Guariano, recently said to misa, “You could eat the fertilizer I’m going to put on your school and camp lawn. I wouldn’t, but you could!”
Thank you John for keeping the ticks and mosquitos at bay and making our lawns look fabulous! For home or business, reach out to The Yard Gard.com and tell John and his sweet new dog Marlin, that BDC sent you!
