CERTIFICATION COURSES

Virginia Career Coach Certification Course This course provides coaches at Virginia's Community Colleges with the tools needed for effective career coaching at no cost to employees. Space is still available. Learn more and register here

Trauma Certification Courses Trauma Informed Campus & Classroom - Course 1 This course provides information about identifying and responding to trauma with evidence-based resilience strategies when working with an audience whose trauma history may not be known. Learn more and register here Creating a Trauma Supportive Campus & Classroom - Course 2 Using trauma-informed principles, this course teaches individuals to create the positive environment that is essential to lasting success systematically. Completion of Course 1 is required before taking Course 2. Spring 2023 cohort information was emailed to all course 1 completers. Inquiry, the Journal of the Virginia Community Colleges Have you recently implemented a new pedagogical strategy, developed a project, or researched a current issue relevant to community colleges and/or higher education? Inquiry is interested in publishing your work in our peer-reviewed journal. Submissions are reviewed by editors on a continuous basis with a rolling deadline, so we encourage you to submit any time. Access previous issues, make submissions, and ask questions here.
