Dear MTL Community,
I hope you are enjoying the longer days, warmer weather, and the signs of spring around campus! Alongside our significant research initiatives, we have hosted various seminars, student gatherings, MIG member visits, workshops, and more. If you haven't yet had a chance, I hope you can join us for upcoming events including our Annual End of Year BBQ and Graduation events.
We've been fortunate to host distinguished speakers in our Spring MTL Seminar Series, including Mahla Poudineh, Sanjay Natarajan, Michael Dickey, Naveen Verma, Alan Smith, Matthijn Dekkers, and Ulrich L. Rohde. If you missed any in-person seminars, the recorded presentations are available here. We will wrap up our Spring Seminar Series next week with a panel discussion moderated by Prof. Ruonan Han on generative AI for microsystem design.
Congratulations to Atharva Sahasarabudhe, our Spring 2024 Doctoral Dissertation Seminar speaker. Atharva's PhD research focused on multi-material, multi-functional fibers for neurotechnology applications.
The MIT Display Workshop on April 2nd was a success, featuring presentations from seven faculty members on cutting-edge display technologies. I extend my gratitude to Professor Jeehwan Kim for organizing this event and to all the students and postdoctoral researchers who participated in the poster session.
