In May, AME will celebrate 30 years of providing specialized mechanical engineering solutions and products to the maritime and industrial industry.
What we do is so complex and a niche within the marine and industrial field . We are so proud to have stood the test of time with several of our employees being with us for over ten years, growing into specialized engineers and technicians.
We want to thank all our loyal customers, supporters, and industry friends for helping us get to where we are today!

During the luncheon, Chief Executive Officer, Jonathan Daniels, announced several new and exciting projects at the port. We can't wait to see what these new initiatives bring to the maritime community ⚓
Christine was there waving the JA Sea The World 🌊flag to raise awareness about the storefront and raise funds to keep it operational for the next three school years.
Haven’t heard of Junior Achievement(JA) of South Florida? JA, located in coconut creek, teaches students who visit its parks (60,000 sq) about financial literacy using career paths simulations and everyday life activities.
In a time when skilled trades are hard to come by, JA Sea The World's mission is to educate the younger generation about the endless career opportunities in our vital industry.

An energy center in south Florida was approaching vibration alarm limits on a boiler feed pump and required the services of a vibration specialist, like AME, to troubleshoot and discover the root cause.
After taking measurements and analyzing vibration data of the motor and pump, we found a slight imbalance on the motor coupling hub.
We recommended obtaining more information on the pump; such as bearing and impeller details. This will help in identifying excitation frequencies of the pump.
We also recommended they test the unit under normal operating conditions to assess condition, before performing in-situ balancing of the motor side coupling hub.

AME was recently contracted to resurface cargo manifold reducers for a major shipping company. The reducers were heavily rusted, and the flanges wouldn't seal even after mechanical cleaning.
Here's a video of our Machinist, Danilo, resurfacing the flanges with our vintage Bullard lathe (about 100 years old) that still runs like a charm! Wait until the end to see the final product.

Austin was brought on to the AME team in January of 2022 as a field service technician. Before joining AME, Jones was a machinery technician for the US Coast Guard. He gained experience maintaining USCG lifeboats and replacing various systems. Austin is a hydraulic mechanic, lift operator, and a maritime law enforcement officer. A great addition to the team!

Raymer joined the AME team in February of 2022 as a field service engineer. He was an engineer on yachts of over 150', where he maintained and operated the engine room. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering and is from Venezuela. We're excited to have him on board!

During the luncheon, Christine introduced JA Sea The World to the organization's members that were present to raise awareness about the Marine Industry Storefront located at Junior Achievement of South Florida.

They invited 12th graders from Mcarthur High School to get an idea of what it would be like to train to be a mariner and to learn about the endless maritime job opportunities.
AME was invited to showcase mechanical engineering positions available in the maritime and industrial community and share the marine storefront "Sea The World" at Junior Achievement of South Florida.
When asked if the high schoolers had heard of the Marine Industry, only one hand raised out of 22 students.
This was short-lived as many of the students were intrigued and interested in joining the maritime community after they experienced MPT's state-of-the-art simulation!
Let's be honest, MPT's simulation room would make anyone of any age excited about going out to sea.
