Thank you for your ongoing support of the ministry of Linwood Community as we provide a faith-based, inclusive, independent living experience for moderate-income adults, age 62+.

I recently met Paul, a friend (and POA) of a tenant who recently moved to assisted living. Paul spent many hours at Linwood making arrangements for her personal property. As he turned in the keys, he commented that after meeting tenants and staff, “Linwood has a good vibe!” I love the idea of the “Linwood Vibe” and am happy that Paul could feel the positive energy from our community.

Acts of kindness (like the “Linwood Vibe”) are good reminders that God is among us, we are One in Christ, and strongest when we work together doing God’s will. Your gifts of time, talent, and treasures support our physical community, but more importantly, they support the sense of community for which we all long.   

"Moving to Linwood was like stepping back in time, where my new friends are like my old neighborhood friends. There are so many things to do that my family has to call to see if I’m home or busy with an activity."

"Linwood Community was the right residential choice for my mother as it allows her to maintain independence. She enjoys the activities and Bible study in the Commons. She also enjoys walking in Linwood Park. The staff and residents are kind and caring. Her only regret is not moving in sooner."

Your gifts of support allowed us to celebrate the following accomplishments in 2024:

• Replaced all west-side apartment windows to increase energy efficiency.
•  Installed fire extinguishers in individual apartments.
• Upgraded the east side landscape, installed curbing,
• Leveled/seeded the south lawn.

We hope to accomplish the following projects in 2025:

• Continue refacing building facade.
• Install additional safety grab bars and create bathtub cuts to increase tenant safety.
• Additional programing including health and safety topics and social engagement opportunities.
•  Music and exercise programs.
• Replace east side apartment windows to increase energy efficiency and reduce energy costs.
