‘ab’strakt: existing as an idea’
Oil Paintings on Canvas

"My primary motivation is to explore alternative explanations of time as circular, layered, or a phenomenon that is relative or even illusory.
I am questioning the concept that new is always better than old, that technological changes always improve our lives and that we are progressing toward a better, more advanced, future."

‘Stuck in our Little Homes’
Mixed Media Miniatures & Scenes

Creating mixed media dioramas and scenes has been Ryan’s obsessive hobby for many years.
Why does she do it? Because it makes her heart grow, takes her into the present moment and provides peace of mind.
It helps by giving her aspirations that things will get better even though we are living through this global crisis - that we are all stuck in it together and forced to deal with it.
Hope is what allows us to dream and yearn for a better tomorrow. It’s a universal message.
She says, “This show reflects how we need hope. Hope is what we have!! Don't give up."
