For many Easter is the highest celebration of the year. It is the day of the resurrection, the day that celebrates the key to new life. Easter happened during Passover, a celebration of freedom from slavery and eventually settling in the Promised Land.
On the farm we have endured the long winter. The new plants are growing in the protection of the greenhouses. They have been slowly growing from their small size and now are getting so big that they need to move on to where they can begin to grow and flourish. This week we begin the plant dance of every spring. The various transplants will begin to be moved from one greenhouse to another where they can have more space and perhaps a more appropriate temperature before they are finally brought to their promised land of fertile soil where they may set roots, flourish and provide life to us all.
