Perry Hosts First Leaders Meeting for Hispanic Community
"The thing that’s important to us here in Perry is diversity in our community. For us to be successful, everyone has to have an equal opportunity to be successful." - Mayor Randall Walker.

We hosted the NotiVisión Georgia First Leaders' meeting to bring together government and the Hispanic community regarding economic development.
The Consulate General of Mexico in Atlanta, Javier Diaz de León, the Consulate of Guatemala in Atlanta, Telma Borrayo, and the Consulate of El Salvador in Atlanta, Monica Marín, attended with leaders from the Latin American Chamber of Commerce of Georgia and the Executive Director of the Latin Community Fund.

We look forward to our continued partnership to strengthen and expand Latin business development in middle Georgia.

Perry Fire & Emergency Services purchased an inflatable house designed to teach the importance of fire safety. As an added feature, the structure is ADA accessible.

Staff will use this portable tool as a way to put kids and their families inside the house as they learn about having a fire escape plan and other fire safety initiatives.
Illicit Stormwater Discharges
