Phone: 601-936-4550. Check in at the Sheraton is at 3 pm and we have been given a late check out of 2 pm on Sunday.
Procedural Workshops
As part of our Spring Fling for Residents and Students, we are conducting procedurals on casting/splinting and Introduction to Manipulation Techniques on Saturday, April 22. The first session is from 3 – 4:30 pm and both will then repeat from 4:30 -6 pm. Those who attend both workshops will receive 3 hours of CME credit. If you would like to attend, please email Beth Embry so we can plan for enough materials and workstations.
Poolside Reception and Dinner Saturday, 6 pm
Our poolside reception and dinner will be held outdoors at the Sheraton near the pool. Cost to attend is $30. Here is a list of those who have RSVPd – If you are not on the list but now want to attend this event, email Beth Embry by Tuesday, April 18.
Exhibit Hall
We are pleased to have 36 exhibitors join us. Please make sure you visit all exhibit booths during breakfast and coffee breaks to become eligible for prizes at the end of Sunday’s session.
Devotion on Sunday
We invite everyone to join us Sunday morning for a 15-minute devotion.

The online syllabus will be available in the coming days and we will send out a link.
Student Sponsors
We want to thank all Student Sponsors, members who donated funds to sponsor a student at our Spring Fling for Residents and Students. You will be recognized with a special ribbon to wear.
Poster Presentations
WC students will present poster presentations during the final break on Saturday. They will be set up in the foyer outside the conference room. Please stop by and hear about their projects.
MAFP Board
The Nominating Committee is working on the slate for the 2023-24 MAFP Board. If you are interested in getting involved, please talk to MAFP Past President Dr. Carlos Latorre at the meeting, as he is the chair of the Nominating Committee.
Bring Your Checkbook
We will be selling tickets for our annual Split the Pot drawing at the event, tshirts, sweatshirts, books and prints, so bring your checkbook.
Attire
Dress is casual for all events. Bring a jacket, as the room may be cool. Please wear any MAFP logo attire on Sunday.
Vintage Market
For your family members -- Vintage Market Days is at the Trade Mart from 10-5 on Friday, 10-5 on Saturday, and 10-4 Sunday. Vintage Market Days is an upscale vintage-inspired indoor/outdoor market featuring original art, antiques, clothing, jewelry and more. Cost is $15 for a weekend pass or $10 for a one-day pass at the door.
Mississippi Braves Baseball
Enjoy baseball over the weekend as the Mississippi Braves take on the Montgomery Biscuits on Friday, April 21 at 6:35 pm at Trustmark Park in Pearl. Here is link to purchase tickets.
Sheraton Refuge Conference Center Map
See the conference center map here. The physicians’ meeting room is Grand Ballroom A. The exhibit hall will be Grand Ballrooms B and C. If you are not staying at the hotel, you may want to enter from the north corner of the building to be close to meeting rooms.
