"Evaluation Station: Your Stop for Learning New Ways to Develop and Deliver Feedback"

This education session introduces attendees to several different ways to construct and deliver speech evaluations. The various formats include the Sandwich Method, using a Content and Delivery chart, and the Saw-Heard-Felt format, among others.  All methods presented will comply with the Evaluation Speech Contest judges’ ballot. Each attendee will learn how to prepare and deliver a winning evaluation that gives the speaker feedback, realistic suggestions for improvement while meeting all the requirements for competition.

“Construction Zone: Speech Building in Progress”

This presentation will address speech construction and organization. Main points of emphasis will be developing an outline, creating a dynamic opening to engage the audience, building anticipation within the body of the speech, and finishing with a conclusion that leaves a lasting impression. The mechanics will include creating a thesis statement, selecting and organizing the main points for maximum effect, providing the supporting points, and transitioning from one point to the next, seamlessly.
