share a bit of the background so you can be as thankful as I am for all of their hard work. First off, aren't these amazing logos for Pride?!? Let's give a huge thanks to Aaron Sencil, husband of our Co-Chair Vincent Tanciongco, who is an amazing graphic designer that has been central to our planning, and they are

planning on creating some fantastic swag you may want to have to use for the whole year! Thank you to Aaron and Vince! Aaron has also had some professional pics of a Lesbian family with kids for our promotional materials, because our Pride Festivals here in Solano are always Family Friendly. We expect families of every age to attend, and enjoy our kid friendly activities like, a bounce house, expressive arts, and story time. There will also be Aztec dancers, Hawaiian Dancers, and others.

These are some of the kinds of swag that Aaron is already testing out for Pride that we will be will be selling there, along with t-shirts, water bottles, tote bags, stickers, patches and other accessories. We hope these memorable souvenirs mark this first time Pride ever being hosted in Suisun City.

Aaron is also the vice-chair of the Arts Commission, representing the city in our planning. Also, a huge shout out to Brigid Reilly, Vince Tanciongco, Donna Harris, Charlotte Richardson and Trish Abbatiello from the Board, as well as Cristina Zaldana and myself as staff. We will also be partnering with the Vacaville People's Forum to host a Pride Picnic on Sunday, June 23rd at Andrew's Park in Vacaville. More info to come!

HOW TO OBSERVE CELEBRATE DIVERSITY MONTH
Be considerate to everyone
The point of celebrating diversity is to respect and appreciate everyone, no matter where they come from or the color of their skin. Treating people with an equal amount of respect and consideration is what makes it work and doing so creates a better world for all.
Listen to people from other cultures
Some of the world's most urgent problems stem from the fact that minorities tend to not feel as represented or as listened to as the majority. If you have colleagues or coworkers who feel like their concerns are not being heard, listen to what they have to say, and help them get their points across to those who have trouble listening. If we can foster more inclusive work or social environments, then we are one step closer to achieving global harmony.
Learn more about different cultures and lifestyles
It helps to learn about different cultures for you to understand them further. Most of the problems in the world come from a lack of understanding and empathy for different cultures. Interacting with other cultures or those living different lifestyles than yours can help eradicate those misunderstandings.
