Spring Forward for Kids in Foster Care:

This spring, join us in making a difference in the lives of children and youth in foster care. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and May is National Foster Care Awareness Month. We invite individuals, businesses, and community partners to Spring Forward for Kids in Foster Care by hosting a donation drive or making a financial contribution.

Many children enter foster care with only the clothes on their backs, lacking necessities, comfort items, and the simple joys of childhood. Your support can help provide essential resources that bring stability, dignity, and hope to children during uncertainty.

How You Can Help

You can participate by hosting a donation drive focused on one (or more) of the following needs:

  • Towels & Washcloth Drive: "Wrap them in Comfort" – Help ensure children in foster care have their new towels and washcloths for personal hygiene.

  • Shoe Drive: "Step Up for Foster Kids" – Provide new sneakers, everyday footwear, and socks to ensure children confidently step into their next chapter.

  • Birthday in a Box: "Celebrate Every Child" – Collect cake mix, frosting, candles, and small gifts so every child can feel special on their birthday.

  • Baby Essentials Drive: "Bundles of Love" – Donate bottles, pacifiers, blankets, baby shampoo, diapers, and other essentials for infants entering care.

  • Sensory & Autism Toy Drive: "Comfort & Calm" – Provide fidget toys, weighted blankets, and noise-canceling headphones to help children with sensory sensitivities feel at ease.

  • Toiletry Drive: "Care & Confidence Kits" – Collect body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, and other hygiene products to support children’s self-care.

  • Stuffed Animal Drive: "Cuddle & Care" – Give comfort to children in foster care by providing new stuffed animals as a source of security and companionship.

  • Pajama Drive "Cozy Nights, Bright Futures" – Provide new pajamas in all sizes to ensure that children in foster care have warm and comfortable bedtimes.

  • New Clothing Drive "Fresh Fits for Kids – Help children in foster care feel confident with new, gender-neutral clothing for all ages, from infants to teens.

Make an Even Greater Impact

If hosting a donation drive isn’t feasible, consider making a financial contribution:

  • $50 provides a child with a new pair of shoes.
  • $100 supplies a complete Birthday in a Box.
  • $250 provides new clothing for children of all ages in foster care.
  • $350 sponsors a high school scholar to attend prom, covering attire, tickets, and transportation.
