Spring Forward into Travel
Last month, we introduced a Virgin Voyage cruise in January, 2024. Virgin Voyages just took home 5 Cruise Critics Cruisers Choice Awards in the large ship category making it the first brand to accomplish this feat. The awards were for Best Overall Cruise Line, Best Dining, Best Cabins, Best Value-For-Money and Best Service. We invite you to “Join Us” on our Caribbean adventure to see for yourselves why Virgin Voyages has been awarded the accolades. Of course, we’ll be happy to find other cruises for you depending upon your schedule.
Cruise lines are always looking for unique ways to attract new and returning clients. NCL, for example, is promoting “Meet the Winemaker” cruises. These cruises include wine tastings, paired dinners, culinary demonstrations, and meet-and-greets. The line-up this year includes celebrity chef Aaron Sanchez, winemaker Miguel Torres, and Emma Watson, a Master Blender at Johnnie Walker. They will join wine cruises in the Caribbean, Alaska, Bermuda and Northern Europe.
On land, the Napa Valley Wine Train introduces a foodie experience. The “Tasting on the Rails” combines a seven-course gourmet menu paired with seven wines from six Napa Valley vineyards with five of those wines emanating from the route the train passes through. The program launches in May with cuisine prepared on the train by Chef Caudra. Call us for more information, as we can include the foodie experience as part of a Napa/Sonoma adventure.
Norse Atlantic Airways, a low-cost Norwegian airline, has quietly been expanding its presence in the US. It has added non-stop service to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington D.C. and Boston joining routes to New York, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. Norse operates an all-Dreamliner fleet of aircraft.
Another award for Celebrity Cruises. The Flora, a ship built exclusively for Galapagos, features all-suite staterooms with a maximum capacity of 100 guests. It is now the first and only resort at sea in the region to be awarded a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Rating. We implore you to put Galapagos on your bucket list. These have been the most unique cruises we have ever experienced.
In addition to all the other news, Regent Seven Seas has unveiled its “Epicurean Perfection” program. inspiring culinary exploration and experiences with a myriad of opportunities for guests to satiate their inner gourmand and savour their journey onboard The World’s Most Luxurious Fleet™. Regent has announced a series of 11 new Epicurean Spotlight Voyages that will set sail in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Finally, Alaska is experiencing record numbers of visitors. Many Alaskan cruises are sold out, so take a look at our just announced Princess Cruisetour departing Vancouver on September 6, 2023. We can make this a cruise only adventure too!
