TYNDALE NEWS & UPDATES

SPRING 2026 NEWSLETTER

Growing Skills, Confidence & Leadership

This season, we’re excited to spotlight the incredible work happening across our teen programs. Through hands-on workshops, meaningful discussions, and creative activities, youth at Tyndale are building confidence, developing life skills, and supporting one another in powerful ways.

CREATIVE MINDS COLLECTIVE

Empowering young women through creativity and self-expression

Our Creative Minds Collective continues to empower young women through creativity, self-expression and entrepreneurship.

This winter, participants took part in a “Kickstart Your Business Journey” workshop, where they explored how business ideas are built from real-life problems, and how collaboration and networking can help bring those ideas to life.

They also came together for a Cue the Culture Paint Night, where 14 participants expressed their culture, religion, and identity through art — creating meaningful portraits that reflected who they are and the communities that support them.

To round things out, a mind-body wellness session led by Simplicita (Ceta Gabriel) introduced participants to yoga, meditation and the connection between mental and physical health — including learning about chakras and overall well-being.

To join the Creative Minds Collective or to find out what's coming up, send them a DM.

BURGUNDY BROTHERHOOD

Building confidence, resilience and positive connections

The Burgundy Brotherhood provides a supportive space for boys aged 13 to 17 to build confidence, develop life skills, and connect with positive role models.

Participants recently took part in a Healthy Relationships workshop, where open discussions around trust, respect, honesty and communication highlighted the importance of these values in all aspects of life.

Through the “Cheffin’ on a Budget” activity, participants learned how to prepare healthy meals while managing costs: building a 7-day meal plan on a $75 budget and discovering practical skills they can use every day.

YOUTH COOPERATIVE

Hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and teamwork

The Youth Co-op gives teens the opportunity to gain real-world experience in entrepreneurship and workplace readiness, helping them build skills for future employment and independence.

Participants explore entrepreneurship through workshops where they learn how ideas develop and how collaboration drives success.

To prepare for the workforce, they also take part in an Interviewing for a Job workshops, learning how to research employers, present themselves confidently and communicate effectively. Through mock interviews, participants are able to apply these skills in a practical, supportive setting.

The year-long Youth Coop session is coming to an end, but the summer session starts in June. Send us an email if you are interested in being part of the group.

HOST A FUNDRAISER FOR TYNDALE

Want to celebrate a special occasion while giving back? Hosting a third-party fundraiser is a meaningful way to support Tyndale and our programs.

Whether it’s a birthday, community event, or creative initiative, your efforts can help us continue offering vital programs to children, youth, adults and seniors in Little Burgundy.

For more information or to get started, reach out to Tina at tinanaim@tyndalestgeorges.com.

For example, past supporters like Kendra and Steph have hosted a 30th birthday fundraiser, donating proceeds from drink and ticket sales, a great way to celebrate while giving back.

We’re also grateful for long-standing initiatives like the F-Men hockey tournament, which has been raising funds for Tyndale year after year and making a lasting impact in the community.

Thank you again to Kendra and Steph, and to the F-Men, for their incredible support!
