"When you possess light within you see it externally." Anas Nin

With March 12th bringing longer days and March 21st marking the beginning of Spring we are moving towards a return of the light and what better way to welcome the light than to be a source of lightness.

Monthly Beyond Yoga Tip — Let's meet the light with lightness of being. Next time you're on your mat explore the following:

  1. The Mona Lisa smile — It helps to relax the facial muscles and improves the quality of the breath.
  2. Focus on grounding the feet as a source of expansion for the upper body; and
  3. Practice with curiosity.

Our small group Hot Stone Restorative Yoga class is open to students of all levels and lineages of yoga with the intent of inducing deep relaxation and grounding.

This workshop will have the student moving in and out of three to four restorative poses, each held for long periods of time, using blankets, bolsters, and blocks. In every pose a minimum of three Hot Basalt stones will be gently placed on various parts of the body, including, hands, feet, stomach, spine and chest to further reduce tension from the body.

The benefits of hot stones are multiple and include stress reduction, increased blood flow, improved sleep and helps promote joint health. The weight and warmth of the stones combined with restorative postures and gentle hands-on massage will leave you feeling calm, grounded and peaceful, thus, encouraging overall health and wellness.

Space is limited to 4 participants so be sure to sign up early to reserve your spot.

Do you love yoga?

Do you benefit from the asanas, meditation and breathing techniques? Do you want to learn more? Do you want to share this practice with others?

About half the students who join us for yoga teacher training do so for personal development only, the other half also want to teach. This ratio changes as we move through the program.

As a lifestyle practice, what matters most is a genuine interest in learning about yoga for personal development. As the program unfolds you will integrate the practice and you will learn and develop the skills and intuition to share it with others.

Dates and Times:

Our 2023 offering begins May 13 and ends November 26. We meet every second weekend from 12-6:00 p.m.

The Integration Model

There's a lot of information. Having two weeks in between each module gives you time to implement, practice and reflect on what was taught. When the next weekend comes along you're ready for the new experience.

The program is offered in-studio but our information sessions are virtual.

Virtual Information Session Dates and Time:

Saturday, March 25, 10:00-10:30 a.m.

Saturday, April 15, 10:00-10:30 a.m.
