Spring Forward

Canadian Women In Food (CWIF) has established a new strategic plan to significantly grow and modernize the association. We are prioritizing opportunities for members to market & promote their businesses. We are creating more meaningful learning initiatives, engaging with industry to unlock opportunities for access, and building a network of women serious about food.

For example, as Supporting Show Partner, CWIF will have an opportunity to participate in  The CR&B Show Nov 4 -5th with a specially designated Pavilion for members.  

We've been busy, and we're not going to let up.  Stay tuned.

May 4th Pop Up Market

In collaboration with Member Grace Cameron, CWIF has developed a consumer direct selling show, w here our members will bring a one-of-a-kind food and beverage experience alive by celebrating women who work in food. Space is limited so register now and join Tiffinday, The Veggie Dip Mix, My Creme Caramel, Sable & Rosenfeld, NONA Vegan and  Eat Your Words.

Believe In the Power of You

Thank you to Jane Gaynor of  Gain Your Edge Coaching for an inspiring session March 5th with "Believe In the Power of You".  It was an evening "full of hope and energy".  We learned lots, laughed out loud, and loved ourselves just a little bit more!

CWIF Website

Our website was in need of being refreshed since we are almost at the 5-year mark.  The new site will be ready by the end of April.  At our recent session on March 5th we had a videographer from OMAI Creative present to capture many moments.  We intend to weave those moments along with others into the final version of the web site when ready.  It's going to be exciting.

Elles Sont Food and You

Registration is now open for the Elles Sont Food and You event presented by the French Consulate in Toronto to compete for the best "cocktail party" using French and/or Canadian ingredients.  Member Francoise Briet is leading this event, and CWIF has been invited to part of the evaluation jury. 

Potluck Picnic

We are in the initial planning stages to create a starlit evening of storytelling and shared creations in August.  Member Lisa Kates is leading our connection with  Building Roots as we look to support socially cohesive communities.  We hope to name a location soon as we are still searching for a suitable outdoor location with access to washrooms and potable water.
