Pennsylvania Regional Ballet
presents its 31st Spring Gala Concert on Saturday, March 9, 2019
You don't want to miss this exciting performance filled with new choreography danced by the lovely, professionally trained Pennsylvania Regional Ballet Dancers! The performance will include six original works beginning with Victoria Silva's Playful Conversations . This ballet is set to the music of Kenji Bunch and is a fun-loving and sweetly innocent piece that is sure to leave you smiling. We are thrilled to have Jaime Thompson, professional Guest Artist and PRB alumnus, perform an excerpt from Jeffrey Gribler's Tritsch Tratsch . Joan Kilgore Anderson's new work Rising Waters is inspired by the beginning and end of a storm. How a storm can begin with only a few raindrops, build and finally leave you with a sense of calm as it comes to an end. UN¿HINGED is a contemporary piece set to music by Kormac that uses light design as an integral part of the unique choreography created by Christine Aumiller Chandler. Erin Stiefel-Inch's A Dancer's Evolution takes the audience through the training of a dancer from the first plie to the performance. This piece also features some of our younger dancers. The evening finishes with a lively ballet choreographed by Jeffrey Gribler. Cricket Dances , set to music by Mark O'Connor, has quick and challenging foot work and highlights the strengths of each individual dancer. There will be an alumni class at the PRB studios on Saturday, March 9th from 1:30-3PM. All PRB Alumni are welcome to attend. We love to see our current dancers taking class with previous generations of dancers! For tickets to this wonderful event...please go to Spring Gala Tickets
