Happy Spring Everyone.
Amazing, Beautiful, Wonderful Spring!

This spring, as customers started to look for gift ideas, our
new shipment of Sa Boothroyd's famous tea towels arrived.

Sa Boothroyd is a local artist who creates fun, artistic
tea towels (among other things) that customers
enjoy buying for themselves as well as gifts for others.

The Seasoned Kitchen customers
mail her towels all over the world.

So we have added her towels to this list of Gift Ideas.

Check out more Sharing Contest Entries at the bottom
of this page. We are loving the food recipes and your encouraging comments and the stories too.

Thank you!
Sa Boothroyd Tea Towels

Who is Sa? (Pronounced Saw)

WHEN SA IS NOT PAINTING OR MAKING TEA TOWELS...

She is most likely to be found biking, swimming, bringing her two daughters to and from the Langdale ferry, drinking copious amounts of tea, running her dog, eating cold toast or yummy sandwiches, watering her garden, preserving a massive amount of food or, if it is after 9pm, definitely sleeping!

Her small gallery and studio space is located at the tip of the government dock in lovely Gibsons, BC and is a stunning place to work. Her and her assortment of elf workers love it, and sometimes find themselves with tea cozies on their heads.

When we can finally travel on the ferries for non-essential reasons, like visiting friends and family, I will definitely be making this for my sister's visit to Maple Ridge. Can hardly wait to see her again and to make this for her!

A fast healthy supper. This is an easy recipe that can easily be adapted for one to more servings. You can also replace the asparagus with broccoli or green beans. Depending on how you feel, you can also add extra spices such as cayenne pepper.

One-Pan Salmon with Roasted Potatoes and Asparagus.

Serves 2

Ingredients

8 small potatoes, halves
1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 salmon fillets, about 140g/5oz each
8 asparagus spears, trimmed and halved
A handful of basil leaves
2 handfuls cherry tomatoes

Heat oven to 425F (convection 400F). Put the potatoes and 1 tbsp. of olive oil into an ovenproof dish, then roast the potatoes for 20 minutes or until starting to get brown. Toss the asparagus in with the potatoes and return to oven for 15 minutes.

Throw in the cherry tomatoes and vinegar and nestle the salmon amongst the vegetables. Drizzle with the remaining oil and cook in the oven for a final 10 to 15 minutes until the salmon is cooked.

Scatter the basil leaves over the dish and serve everything straight from the cooking pan.
