Due to the escalating COVID-19 situation and in the interest of public health,
Athens State University has decided to move the spring commencement ceremonies to coincide with summer graduation on Saturday, August 1, 2020.
Spring/Summer Commencement Details:
Date: Saturday, August 1, 2020
Location: Carter Gymnasium
College of Business: 9:00 AM
College of Education: 12:00 PM
College of Arts & Sciences: 3:00 PM
Students who are eligible to graduate at the end of the spring semester will receive their degree and diploma by mail. Further details will be provided for those who wish to participate in the summer commencement ceremony.
"We know graduation is a special time, and we know our spring graduates have worked very hard to reach this milestone," stated Dr. Philip Way, Athens State President. "We look forward to celebrating their accomplishments alongside family and friends at summer commencement."
