May 2021
Spring Greetings
We're so pleased to share that we plan to open in the near future!

The Gallery is opening on Friday, May 28th. As you scroll down, you'll also see information on our upcoming live entertainment and movies.

Sometimes a place is more than just a place. It can be a building which is now in good shape because of your gifts and grants. It can be the programs that occur and are now scheduled. It can be the people - the volunteers, the patrons, the staff, the performers and the donors.

The TLCFA becomes a magical place when we all gather there. Thank you for your gifts!

We are sure that all of you who consider TLCFA to be a special place are looking forward to the opening. We would also like to be able to livestream the entertainment for those of you eager to hear our programs in a virtual setting. We do not have the funds to upgrade our equipment to make this possible. A grant application is in process and donations would also be appreciated.

We do have the funds set aside to paint the exterior and a painter has been hired. He has scheduled the work for late August.

We hope to see you this season to thank you personally for your support in keeping the Center alive. It is an important place to all of us in the Northwoods.

You'll also find opportunities to support us and keep live entertainment coming to the Center. Please give as you can.

Live Performances Begin July 1st
Hallelujah! It's a new year, a new season, and the Three Lakes Center for the Arts is going to try again to bring you some great entertainment!

Tickets will NOT be available until we know what the allowed capacity in the theater will be, so check our website often. We'll let you know when we do!

We would deeply appreciate any help we can get in sponsorships for payment to bands and for their lodging. Our average cost for live entertainment is approximately $1,275 per band.

We've listed the actual costs below, and would greatly appreciate donations that meet or exceed our needs.

Sponsors will be given a credit on the performer's program page, if we receive the information before the program goes to print - which is around May 25th.

Sponsors will also receive two free tickets for their sponsored event or concert of their choice, and our heartfelt thanks at the performance, on posters and more!

Losing the Oneida Village has made it tough for us to secure reasonably priced accommodations. We are using the Triangle Motel, friends' guest cottages and other creative ideas! None of this can happen without you!

Kindly mail your sponsorship donation to TLCFA, Post Office Box 126, Three Lakes, WI 54562, email Gay Scheffen or call Gay at 847-302-9340 with questions.

We will resume movies on June 9th for Wednesday matinees and the regular evening runs.

We open with Raya and The Last Dragon and will then follow up with Nomadland, The Father and Minari.

As in the past, we will offer a list of potential movies for you to share your opinion about the movies you want to see.

COVID-19 protocols will remain in place (masks, distancing, electrostatic cleaning) until our county health department provides new information.

Our ticket prices will remain the same:
  • Adults - $6.00
  • Members - $5.00
  • 12 and Under and Matinees - $4.00

Show times will also remain the same:
  • Wednesday Matinee - 2:00 pm
  • Thursday thru Sunday - 7:30 pm

For your enjoyment, we'll be offering the same great popcorn, candy, sodas, wine and beer.

Come see a movie - the way they should be seen!

We Need You!
The president of the TLCFA Board has been doing double-duty, serving as Secretary as well as President for a very long time. Most of the other Board Members have had the job as well so we need help!

Please consider volunteering once or twice a month for a trial run as interim Secretary and try your hand at taking our minutes for the summer. You will make connections, learn more about TLCFA, and will be doing a great service for our organization. If this proves to be a good fit, we would welcome you staying on in this position.

If you're interested, email us!

Thanks so much!
Your Support is Greatly Appreciated!
