Libraries for Justice and Equity
With anti-Asian hate crimes on the rise public libraries strongly affirm their role in creating a more equitable society. On March 22nd The Berkeley Public Library joined with 200+ libraries across North America in signing the Urban Libraries Council’s Statement on Race and Social Equity. It serves as a baseline for building policies and actions to make their communities more inclusive and just.
