1.  Calling for Sponsors and Vendors!

The Chamber of Commerce puts on several community events that are family friendly!

If you would like to sponsor Berthoud Day 2016, click here for sponsorship information. The vendor form is on the front page of our website. (or you can click here.)

Berthoud Day is on Saturday, June 4, 2016. The day will kick off with a parade at 11:00 a.m. (Have you thought of having an entry in the parade? It's free and open to everyone to participate.) Right after the parade, join us in Town Park for vendors, food, and music. The music will begin at noon and last until 9:00 p.m. Old School BBQ will have food for sale under the pavilion until 8:30 p.m.  If you have a talent and would like to take part in "Berthoud's Got Talent" please watch our website, www.berthoudcolorado.com  (News & Events; Berthoud Day) for details.

The vendor registration is now open and we will have the parade entry form up soon on the website, so please keep an eye out for it.

2. Shout out to our Members!

We want to THANK YOU, our members, for your referrals.

If every member told just 1(one) business acquaintance or friend about the BACC, our growth rate would be amazing!

Our goal this year is to "leap" to 300 hundred members. Help us reach that goal! If you have a referral, just get their name, phone number and email to us, and we will contact them.  Let us know why you feel they would be a great fit for us so we can share that with them when we call.
3.  Ambassador of the Month

Congratulations to  Bill Daley  with Citizen Printing who was voted Ambassador of the Month! He is on several committees and volunteers at various Chamber events! Ambassadors look at the log sheets that each Ambassador fills out with their volunteer hours before they vote. Sometimes they are nominated by the number of hours they volunteer and other times they are nominated by their creative contributions to the chamber.

Ambassadors serve in many capacities: Business before Hours, Luncheons, Business after Hours, Ribbon Cuttings, event committees (Installation Dinner, Berthoud Day, Quilt, Art & Craft Show, Golf Tournament, and Oktoberfest as well as other special events we do.)

TH
ANK YOU you for all of your hard work and volunteer time.  We really appreciate you!

4.  Business of the Month

Congratulations to the  D's Boutique  for being nominated business of the month! Dorothy had a fun and well attended Spring Fashion Show. She sits on the board of directors and on several committees. Stop in and look at the new spring colors and styles!

6.  Bob Turner Classic 5K Run/Walk.

Last May, Turner Middle School in Berthoud organized the 13 th Annual Bob Turner Classic 5K Run / Walk.  It was a successful fundraising event and was enjoyed by everyone involved.  The run was made possible largely by the support they received from their students, staff, and community members.  This event raised almost $4,000.00 for the school.

They are excited for the running of the 14 th Annual  Bob Turner Classic on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 8:00am.  This year's fundraiser will support the TMS's Athletic and Technology Programs.   Your support for this event would be greatly appreciated.  Your support could come in many forms: monetary donations (helping to defer t-shirt costs and other expenditures), prizes, gift certificates, and volunteering.  Your contribution to the Bob Turner Classic is an excellent way for hundreds of participants and community members to see your business logo and advertisement Read More

12.  Spring Time Cleaning Hints

Spring cleaning has gotten easier with all of the new things like Swifter, The Magic Eraser, etc.
With more daylight hours, you can plan to be outside more.

Here are a few "indoor spring time" hints.
1. Make your doormats "welcoming". Sweep them off or change them to a new spring one.
2. Clean your carpets and furniture.
3. Finish your floors. This doesn't mean re-sand them, just make sure to get those hard to reach corners.
4. Wash walls, cabinets, baseboards and woodwork.
5. Vacuum every nook and cranny, move furniture.
6. Clean your ceiling fans, and light fixtures.
