As we enter the month of May, we are getting together the final details of our Supporting Healthy Black Agriculture (SHBA) Workgroup, starting Saturday, May 14th. Thank you to all of our SHBA volunteers who will be joining us this summer! We look forward to getting to know each of you and collectively building a stronger and more united community.

MADISON, WI (April 26, 2022)—Urban Triage, Inc. is excited to announce the Supporting Healthy Black Youth: Visible Youth Mobilization for The Poor People's Campaign Moral March on Washington, DC on June 18, 2022, in celebration of Juneteenth and Black liberation. In partnership with the Milwaukee Poor People's Campaign, Breaking Barriers, Community Task Force MKE, All Of Us Or None, and Tech*Niques--mobilizing youth across Madison and Milwaukee.
June 18, 2022, Mass Poor People's & Low-Wage Workers' Assembly & Moral March on Washington and to the Polls will be a generationally transformative and disruptive gathering of poor and low-wealth people, state leaders, faith communities, moral allies, unions, and partnering organizations. Supporting Healthy Black Agriculture (SHBA) inspires Black families to create space for family bonding, building analysis, and engaging with agriculture while supporting their local community.
Participants will leave the program ready to break ground in their backyards, from gardening basics to advanced techniques. Our programming has expanded to include Farm Business Development to support new and existing Black farmers to improve their farm businesses.

Supporting Healthy Black Youth (SHBY) successfully kicked off on Monday, April 25th! SHBY is a transformative workgroup that provides youth with the tools, skills, and space to explore their character, feelings, motives, and desires through creative arts such as hip hop, creative writing, photography, videography, in addition to trauma recovery as well as his story.
Through art, the program is cultivating leaders by exploring how art is connected to the following areas of focus: Perspective, Self-Awareness and Trauma. We hope participants will leave feeling empowered, inspired, capable and strengthen their abilities to connect to specific cultural principles and nuances.

Cohort 10 of Supporting Healthy Black Families (SHBF) kicks off Tuesday, June 21!
SHBF is a 8-week personal leadership & personal change workgroup that empowers and inspires breakthroughs & transformation in Black people, Black families & Black communities.
Workgroups meet 2X for 8 weeks---Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6-8 PM.

We want to recognize Chastity Natera, Quality Assurance Lead for Urban Triage. Chastity is a natural leader and strives to be the best and do her best at everything she does. Chastity comes to us with a background in childcare. Joining Urban Triage was a major change in every aspect, but right away she felt at home and immediately became passionate about her work at Urban Triage. Her attention to detail and time management is the reason she is entrusted with Quality Assurance. She leads by example and motivates our rental support team to utilize exceptional customer service and process rental assistance applications with thoroughness and complete accuracy.
