Spring is the season of growth, and spring has sprung at Tripepi Smith thanks to our clients and team!
The 2020 Census has prompted a wave of redistricting activity throughout California for cities, counties, school districts, water agencies and more. The California Voting Rights Act has led many local governments to move to by-district elections since the 2010 Census. As a result, significantly more public agencies are facing a redistricting process in 2021-22 than in 2011-12. Plus, new legislation makes outreach a bigger component of the entire process. Enter Tripepi Smith.
Our team foresaw this reality and started working on redistricting matters awhile ago to ramp up our capacity to take on the outreach work. This past fall, we helped plan and deliver (along with some other brilliant folks) the Rose Institute 2021 Redistricting Conference–the single largest redistricting-focused event in California. Meanwhile, our nimble team members leveraged our “Always Be Learning” culture to ramp up their expertise on redistricting, ensuring Tripepi Smith had an army of talent ready to deliver.
