YOUTH & GOVERNMENT

The California YMCA Youth & Government programs held the 75th Model Legislature and Court in Sacramento from February 10–13. The Corona-Norco Family YMCA participated with four (4) delegates.

In Sacramento, our teens were able to collaborate with others, make new friends, and build skills such as critical thinking, persuasive public speaking, writing and research, with other delegates across the state. One of our delegates, Luis, was recognized for “Spirit of the Constitutional Convention,” given to someone who fully embraced the program area and represented the values of the Y and the program. Congratulations Luis!

TEEN ART SHOW

The Y’s Teen Center, located at 3785 Neece Street, hosted an art show for the public. There, the teens were given full creativity to draw, paint, or create anything their imagination took them. It was a great activity for our teens to express themselves through art.
SPRING DAY CAMP RECAP

Spring Day Camp provided campers with an experience they will remember for years to come. We provided a true YMCA Day Camp experience with arts and crafts, songs, skits, outdoor games, group activities, swimming, and field trips!
SUMMER DAY CAMP
Summer Day Camp runs from 7:30AM-6:00PM and includes breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. For Adventure Camp, every week we will have a day of swimming, a day at a field trip, and a day at the park. For Explorer Camp, every day we will have outside time, indoor arts and crafts, and a weekly field trip.
