Better Health Care. Made Possible by You.
Greetings!

A Special Message from the Director of Patient Care and
Chief Nursing Officer at Campbellford Memorial Hospital

My name is Alysia English and I am proud to be the Director of Patient Care and Chief Nursing Officer at Campbellford Memorial Hospital (CMH). I was born and raised in Campbellford and had the pleasure of moving back to my hometown last year to start my position at CMH. Since arriving at CMH it’s been wonderful to work with dedicated individuals who bring together their knowledge and expertise along with a collective effort to make things better for the patients they serve.

During my short time here I have already seen first-hand how donor support makes a big difference to the care we provide. Time and time again I have seen donors step up to fund critical and urgently needed medical equipment for the hospital, including the new Digital X-Ray Machine, I-V Pumps and other important technologies. Your donations support the skilled and compassionate care happening every day inside our wonderful facility. I know the hospital staff is incredibly grateful for the support of our donors. These new medical tools have had an immediate impact on healthcare in our community and will continue to support patient care for years to come.

On another note, the COVID-19 Pandemic has brought with it many unique challenges, especially how health care delivery has transformed. Your support through these rough waters has also been appreciated. From the complimentary meals for frontline staff, thank you notes, children’s art and financial support, we have appreciated everything you have done to support our healthcare heroes. You raised their spirits during this difficult time! Thank you.

The CMH Foundation is currently fundraising for a new Cardiac Telemetry Monitoring System for the hospital. Please continue your support of CMH. The Foundation is also in the planning stages of a major new fundraising effort that you will be hearing more about very soon. It will help fund new medical equipment and technologies that will continue to transform the care we provide. It will also lay the ground work for the future, including our proposed re-development project that we are continuing to push toward.

To make a gift to the hospital please contact the CMH Foundation or make a secure gift on-line at www.givetocmh.ca .
Life-Saving Cardiac Telemetry System

2020's Angels of Care Campaign gave a great start to funding the $500,000 Cardiac Telemetry System, raising over $$280,000 to date. This life-saving equipment will be in both the Emergency Department and In-Patient Unit.

Cardiac Telemetry is a way of monitoring your heart rate and rhythm, blood pressure, and the oxygen in your blood. This vital data transmits directly to the Nurse’s Station, alerting nurses immediately to any problems. And when heart related issues are concerned, every moment counts.

The Ranney Gorge Run Goes Virtual!

We had hoped that in 2021 we would be able to host the Annual Ranney Gorge Run. However, out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to host our great run Virtually this year. You will have the opportunity to run or walk your distance anywhere you want and between May 1st - May 16th. We are pleased to announce that Bay of Quinte Mutual Insurance is back as our Lead Presenting Sponsor this year. Thank you to Bay of Quinte Mutual for your continued support of the Hospital!
We are hoping you will consider doing a run/walk on your own and collect pledges in support of Campbellford Memorial Hospital for the purchase of life-saving medical equipment. We look forward to seeing all the wonderful photos that participants will share with us.
Stay tuned very soon for more information about the Ranney Gorge Virtual Run!
Thank you for your enthusiastic support of our great event and of Campbellford Memorial Hospital during these challenging times.

Sunday Afternoon with Dorset a Delicious Success!

About 30 homes from around the area tuned in via Zoom for the Sunday Afternoon with Dorset virtual cook along with Dorset Mitchell of Capers Tap House in Campbellford. It was a unique opportunity to watch Dorset prepare a delicious traditional Grenadian meal while raising funds for the Campbellford Memorial Hospital.

Thank you Daniel Giddings of DL Home Improvements for organizing this culinary event! Special thanks to Dorset for doing an amazing job and donating his time! An amazing $965.57 was raised for the Cardiac Telemetry System.
CMH Auxiliary Splashes to Success with Virtual Polar Plunge

Congratulations to the CMH Auxiliary for another successful Polar Plunge! Plungers were invited this year to find a way to join in virtually: there was tobogganing, snow angels, river plunging, water balloons and bucket dumping, all to help raise funds for priority patient equipment for the hospital. With funds still coming in, over $32,000 was raised! The Auxiliary thank all of the people who came together to support patient care at CMH!

An Investment Worth Making

For many of us, budgeting is important. We also want to make an impact in our community. That is why so many choose our Monthly Giving Program.

It is simple to set up, very affordable because you set the amount that is right for your budget and you  know that your donation has long-term impact at your hospital.
