 Finding God in Creation's Sanctuary
"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge." — Psalm 19:1-2

There's something profound that happens when we step away from our daily routines and immerse ourselves in God's creation. The noise fades. Our breathing slows. Our eyes begin to notice the details of God’s wonder we'd otherwise miss—the intricate pattern of a pinecone, the gentle sway of tall grasses, the breeze through the pines, the sunset over the lake and the chorus of birdsong at dawn.

At CranHill Ranch, we've witnessed countless transformations as people of all ages disconnect from screens and reconnect with Jesus on these beautiful grounds. A child's face lighting up as they spot a deer at the edge of the woods. A teenager finding unexpected courage on the challenge course or rock wall. A family rediscovering laughter around a campfire. These aren't just pleasant outdoor experiences—they're holy encounters.

Jesus himself frequently retreated to natural settings to pray and teach. He spoke of seeds and soil, of birds and lilies, of shepherds and sheep. He understood that creation itself can become a classroom where God's character is on display. When we provide opportunities for people to step into these natural sanctuaries, we're following in Christ's footsteps.

There's a reason why sunrises, sunsets and starry skies fill us with wonder. Our souls recognize the handiwork of their Maker. In these moments, barriers between heaven and earth seem thinner, and hearts become more receptive to God's gentle whispers.  That’s what happens at CranHill. That’s why this place is a destination all on its own for families far and wide.

As the staff and I serve at CranHill Ranch—whether preparing meals, maintaining trails, leading activities, or simply welcoming guests—we're not just providing outdoor recreation. We're creating sacred space where people can encounter the living God. Each cabin cleaned, each ice cream served, each campfire built becomes an invitation to experience His presence.
To each of you who make this ministry possible—whether you've come as a camper and experienced God's presence here, visited as a guest and found renewal, volunteered your time and talents, or supported us through your generous giving—we extend our heartfelt gratitude. Your participation in this ministry, in whatever form it takes, helps create a place where lives are transformed. Each prayer offered, each hour served, each dollar given ripples outward in ways we may never fully see this side of heaven.
You are not just supporting a camp; you are helping build God's Kingdom.

May we never lose sight of this beautiful calling, and may we continue to steward this special corner of creation with reverence and joy, knowing that through it, lives are being transformed for eternity.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the gift of Your creation and for the privilege of sharing it with others. Help us to look to you as we care for your creation, seeing You in the beauty of Your handiwork. May every guest who comes to this place leave with a deeper understanding of the love of Jesus. Amen.
