Catch the Next Generation of Hockey Stars in Action from April 9 to 12
| | Thunder Bay is set to welcome the province’s top young hockey talent as the Thunder Bay Kings host the 2026 U15 AAA All-Ontario Championships this April 9 to 12 at Fort William Gardens. Bringing together elite teams from across Ontario, this high-level tournament promises fast-paced action and a glimpse at the future of the sport. Supported by Tourism Thunder Bay through the CEDC Tourism Development Fund, the event highlights the city’s growing role as a destination for major competitions. The Rogers Tennis Dome is Open
A major new addition to Thunder Bay’s recreation scene has arrived with the opening of the Rogers Tennis Dome, located at 430 Chapples Drive. The new air-supported dome allows tennis and pickleball to be played year-round, giving local players a place to stay active even during the long winter months.
Court bookings are available through the Thunder Bay Community Tennis Centre. Whether you’re a seasoned player or trying tennis or pickleball for the first time, it’s a great way to stay moving while we wait for the snow to melt.

Archery: Lakehead Archers operates an indoor archery range located at 282 Vibert Road in Rosslyn.
Bowling: Head to Mario’s Bowl, a large bowling facility with 24 ten-pin and 12 five-pin lanes.
Pickleball: The Thunder Bay Pickleball Club organizes indoor court times and leagues at 425 Northern Avenue.
Rock Climbing: Rock Room Climbing Gym has indoor routes for beginners to experienced climbers.
Skateboarding: Cinema 5 Skatepark is an indoor non-profit skatepark, built
inside a former movie theatre.

Swimming and Squash: The Canada Games Complex offers swimming, squash courts, fitness centre, and an indoor walking and jogging track. Churchill Pool and Volunteer Pool also offer indoor swimming.
Ultimate Frisbee: Thunder Bay Ultimate Frisbee is offering a Junior Giants indoor program this spring for youth ages 8–15 at the LU Hangar.
Virtual Golf: Practice your swing year-round at On The Links, Thunder Bay's
Virtual Golf and Sports Bar.
Volleyball: The Funtime Volleyball League runs September through April and welcomes players of all skill levels.
