Black Tie & Diamonds Gala

Copy of Auction Items.jpg

Chrysalis House is filled with gratitude following the Black Tie & Diamonds Gala hosted by the Rotary Club of Annapolis in support of Chrysalis House. The evening brought together an inspiring community of supporters for a truly special night dedicated to hope, healing, and new beginnings.

We are especially honored to share that the Rotary Club of Annapolis presented Chrysalis House with a check for $97,000 as a result of the event. These funds will be put toward the purchase of a new van to help transport Chrysalis House clients to necessary appointments, and we are beyond grateful for this incredible generosity and support.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make the event such a success, our generous sponsors, donors, guests, and volunteers, along with the incredible Rotary Club members whose dedication brought the evening to life. Your commitment to our mission makes a meaningful difference for the women and children we serve. Thanks to the continued support of our community, Chrysalis House can continue providing the resources, care, and encouragement that help empower women and children to build brighter futures.

Thank You, Rotary Club of Annapolis!

Merrill Family Therapeutic Nature & Walking Trail

Spring will bring exciting and long-awaited updates to the Merrill Family Therapeutic Nature & Walking Trail.

A brand-new swing set, generously installed by Andrew Post of Playscapes by Post, is now ready for the women and children in our program to enjoy. This addition is part of our continued effort to introduce the trail as a peaceful, therapeutic outdoor space where mothers and children can spend time together, connect with nature, and experience moments of play and reflection.

Preparing the trail for its debut this season has truly been a community effort. Chrysalis House is grateful to Homestead Gardens for assisting with recent trail clean-up and plans for a beautiful wildflower garden, and to the Arundel Rivers Federation for helping with brush hogging to clear the path and restore the area.

Thanks to the generosity and support of so many partners across our community, the trail is coming to life just in time for spring.

We look forward to officially unveiling these improvements and welcoming our clients and staff to enjoy this space in the months ahead.

Stay tuned for details about our ribbon cutting event.

Calling All Gardeners!

As we head into the warmer seasons,

Chrysalis House is looking for volunteers to help plant and maintain our FarmUnity Garden as part of our Volunteer Gardening Commitee. This is a wonderful opportunity to get outdoors, support our community, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of women and children.

April 12th would be the first day to volunteer!

Thank you, Community Legal Services

Chrysalis House was extremely grateful to welcome a team of caring attorneys from the Community Legal Services – Anne Arundel County Eviction Prevention Legal Program to Chrysalis House for a special Expungement Workshop.

During their visit, volunteer attorneys met with our clients and provided guidance and assistance with the expungement process: helping women take important steps toward clearing their records and opening doors to new employment, housing, and educational opportunities.

Access to knowledge, legal resources, and supportive partners is an essential part of the healing and rebuilding process.

We are incredibly grateful to the attorneys and staff who shared their time and expertise to help empower the women in our program as they work toward brighter futures.

A Gift for the Children at Chrysalis House

Chrysalis House is deeply grateful for a generous donation of bags filled with clothing, toys, and essential items for the children residing here. This thoughtful gift was organized by a student from Annapolis Area Christian School as part of a senior project focused on addiction and recovery. Through research, compassion, and action, the student chose to support the children who live at Chrysalis House alongside their mothers as they work toward healing and stability.

Because of this generosity, many of the little ones in our program will receive new items chosen just for them, small but meaningful reminders that they are seen, valued, and cared for. We are grateful for the time, thought, and heart that went into this project, and for the meaningful impact it has made for the women and children we serve.
