The Science of Sustainability

Learn about the science of healthy people, communities and environments at this month's SustainABLE Festival in the Fleet's theater gallery. We'll be celebrating sustainability all month long at other regular Fleet events, such as Suds & Science, Maker Hour and Saturday Science Club for Girls. Join us to learn how sustainability can be fun and the important role it plays on our planet.
Uncorking the Mysteries of Wine
The Fleet's 2017 annual fundraiser event will be an amazing night for wine lovers and foodies. Uncorking the Mysteries of Wine will feature food and wine pairings with wine expert Gary Parker of The WineSellar & Brasserie and culinary guru Andrew Spurgin, plus a wine auction and entertaining science demos. All proceeds from the event will directly support the Fleet's mission of creating a San Diego where people of all ages can be inspired by the power and possibilities of science.

The Sky Tonight Planetarium Shows
On the first Wednesday of every month the Fleet hosts our live planetarium show, The Sky Tonight. Join astronomer Lisa Will as she takes you on a tour of our solar system and into the depths of space. This month's show will focus on the latest explorations of the Moon. The San Diego County Astronomy Association also provides free telescope viewing outdoors on the Prado walkway. Join us to experience the universe!

The Fleet Inquiry Institute offers programs for teacher professional development, including workshops and lesson plans. The BE WiSE program  connects young women and girls with STEM professionals, and the Fleet welcomes school field trips year round. All of the experiences we create are designed to bring out the inner scientist in everyone.
The Fleet Science Center is a nonprofit organization that seeks to inspire lifelong learning by furthering the public understanding and enjoyment of science and technology.
