Reservation Reminder


Remember when making reservations using the online form, in the first line (Member Name), place any member names for whom you are making reservations. The line later in the form (Names of Those Who I Want to Sit With and Names of Guests) is ONLY for making up the seating chart.

This tea room is a favorite of many of our members with Nancy Reppert's scones served hot out of the oven.

Menu includes:

  • Individual pot of tea with unlimited refills from a lengthy tea list;
  • Salad,
  • Six savories,
  • Two scones with sweet cream and jam, and
  • Sweets/desserts.


Following tea you can shop at the Rosemary House (next door) for teas and herbs.


Parking: Street parking on Market and Simpson streets, and a small parking lot off the alley behind the tearoom. (Enter the alley from Simpson Street, then walk through the gardens to the tearoom.)

Mobility: Three steps into the tearoom, or go through the archway to the right of the front door and enter the tea room at the side door.

Cost: $50, club members; $55, guests/non-members

Berry Patch B&B

This is our second visit to this charming bed and breakfast in Lebanon. The view from the dining room is lovely. Spring is a perfect time to visit this area with flowers blooming. We'll be able to celebrate the end of this cold winter and the beginning of warm summer days.


Parking: The B&B has a parking lot.

Mobility: There are no steps into the house from the left side. There is one step into the bathroom.

Cost: $32, club members; $37, guests/non-members

East Berlin Historical Preservation Society

The tea in East Berlin last year was a hit with requests to repeat the event. The menu includes:

  • Soup,
  • Salad,
  • Two types of scones,
  • Savories,
  • Sweets, and
  • Pots of tea.


We are sure the ladies of the Historical Society will prepare another delicious tea for club members. What a wonderful start to the summer.


Parking: On-street parking with very limited parking to the rear of the hall.

Mobility: There are three steps onto the front porch; no steps into the hall from the rear.

Cost: $45, club members; $50, guests/non-members

This tearoom was founded in 2004 by the mother/daughter duo, Laura Watkins and Nancy Browning. Located in the historic town of Waynesboro, this 1800s era pink building with green shutters and awning also has a gift shop with books and tea accessories. Our Queen's tea includes:

  • Soup or salad (chef's choice),
  • Scone,
  • Tea sandwiches,
  • Dessert, and
  • Endless pot of tea

 

June is a lovely month for a ride to this charming town for tea.


Parking: On-street metered parking; a free parking lot is one block behind the tearoom at 25 N. Potomac St., behind Trinity apartments, off Schier's Way.

Mobility: There are five steps up to the tearoom, and one step up to bathroom and second tearoom. area.

Cost: $46.50, club members; $51.50, guests/non-members

Reservation deadline: June 16


*There is a seating prior to our tea and the staff needs time to reset the tables and prepare for us. There are lovely shops along the street for you to visit if you arrive early or bring a book to read or a project to knit.

Kate Pearl Tearoom in the Historic William Winchester House is an English-style tearoom that is named for the owner's great-great-grandmother. "We see afternoon tea as a way to connect generations, to honor traditions, and to feel respite from the chaos of everyday life. A place to unwind, to be pampered and to luxuriate in finery."


The full afternoon tea includes:

  • Soup or salad (chef's choice),
  • Scones,
  • Fresh fruit,
  • Tea sandwiches and savories,
  • Assorted sweets
  • Sorbet, and
  • Tea.


Westminster is a lovely town to visit and shop.


Parking: The tearoom has a parking lot.

Mobility: For the July 9 tea, seatings are in a room with one step down or up a flight of stairs; for the July 11 tea, no steps into one room, one step down, or up a flight of stairs. Please note your mobility needs when making a reservation. (For example, one step is fine, but not upstairs OR I can do any of these seating arrangements.)

Cost: $46, club members; $51 guests/non-members

Annual Club Luncheon & Silent Auction

We'll announce the theme and speaker later (keep your eyes peeled). But we do have a menu for the buffet from which our caterer will serve us:

  • Ham,
  • Pineapple sauce,
  • Scalloped potatoes,
  • Green beans almandine,
  • Cole slaw,
  • Fruit cup,
  • Rolls & butter,
  • Iced tea and hot tea (hot water) - teabags available but feel free to bring your own teabag.


If you prefer a vegetarian option, which is ratatouille, you must let Donna Lerew know when you make your reservation.


Bring your used books for the book sale and household items, jewelry, tea sets, etc. for the silent auction. Doors open at 11 a.m. There will be people available to assist with unloading your items.


Parking: No steps at the front entrance.

Mobility: A large parking lot.

Cost: $25, club members; $30, guests/non-members

Irish Eyes Tea Room

Parking: There is a parking lot in front of the tearoom as well as parking space at the medical center and on Main Street.

Mobility: One step from road to sidewalk but no steps into the tearoom.

Cost: $45, club members; $50, guests/non-members

PA Tea Festival Tickets

The 9th annual PA Tea Festival, held at the Rosemary House and Sweet Remembrances Tea Room in Mechanicsburg, Pa., will be Sept. 18 and 19. Tickets will be sold by the club starting July 1 for $15 per person ($18 day of event).

Mark Your Calendars with Tea Holidays


The following are tea infused holidays:


  • May 21, International Tea Day - Have a cuppa to celebrate
  • May 30, National Scone Day - Homemade or store-bought, celebrate the day
  • June 26, International Cream Tea Day - Enjoy a scone, clotted cream, jam, and a cup of tea

Club Policies

NEW MEMBERS AND MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS

Membership dues for new members and for membership renewals are payable by Jan. 1 of each year.

  • Late Fee: $5 for 2026 memberships renewed after Dec. 31.

New Member fee: $10, one-time only new member fee added to annual membership fee. Download the new member form here.

Magnetic Name Tag: $10/name tag.

TEA RESERVATIONS

  • Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Emailed reservation requests must be confirmed by the Club before they are considered accepted.
  • Please indicate members of your party when making reservations so we can assign seats appropriately to help keep everyone safe.
  • Do not send payment until your reservation is confirmed.
  • After a reservation has been made and confirmed, payment must be received by the Club within 10 days. If it is not received within that time frame, the reservation may be canceled.
  • In the memo line of the check, please indicate which tea(s) and date(s) are being paid for.
  • Club events are closed 10 days before the event takes place or the date specified in the newsletter.
  • Reminder: Seating at tea rooms will begin 15 minutes prior to the tea time listed, unless noted differently in the Mobility section of the tea's description.

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND

If you are unable to attend an event you have reserved, contact Donna Lerew as soon as possible at donnalerew@gmail.com or 717-741-2684. This will allow her time to contact the next person on the waiting list and you may receive a refund. Please, do not give your seat to another person in order to be fair to those on the waiting list.


REFUNDS

Payment for tea reservations is non-refundable, unless cancelled prior to the cutoff date posted in the newsletter or if someone on the waiting list can take the reservation.


Any money from a cancellation will be a credit that can be used for future events. All unused credits will be returned after the last event in December. No refunds or credits of less than $1 will be given.


GUEST POLICY

Guest fee: $5, which is added to the cost of the tea event. If the guest decides to join the Club, the $5 fee will be applied to dues for that calendar year.
