While some of us have sad, sad friends from Portland, Maine that woke up to INCHES of snow this past week, we are lucky enough to be enjoying the burst of color that Springtime in the Great Northwest provides!

During this season of growth, we want to make sure that you mark your calendars for two upcoming opportunities for professional and personal growth right here in Portland, Oregon.

Happy Spring from all of us at NACEF!
Swanman Conference 2014
Barb Buckner Suarez and Denise Beaudoin, two of our very own NACEF Board Members, have been honored with the invitation to present at this year's Swanman Conference. It's happening on Thursday and Friday, May 1st & 2nd. Denise & Barb will be presenting on Thursday afternoon. Their presentation is titled, "Labor Support from the Neck Up".
This conference is in it's 37th year and the focus is "Reducing the Risks for Mother and Baby". This is a terrific local opportunity to hear about the latest information on issues as diverse as waterbirth, preventing the first Cesarean, maternal obesity, tongue tie - and how to support a woman, emotionally not just physically, during the birth of her baby. Both days run from 7:45 - 3:30 and all sessions will take place at The Multnomah Athletic Club. This conference has been approved by CA Board of Nurses and there are 6 CEUs available for each day.

Hope to see many of you there!
