The Spring Lake Fire Department is seeking qualified candidates for paid on call firefighters. Anyone interested should fill out an application and return it to the Spring Lake Township office (101 S Buchanan St) or to Fire Station #1 (106 N Fruitport Rd).

As part of their 50th anniversary celebration, the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation is awarding Community Choice Grants to local municipalities. This week is Spring Lake Township's turn. Visit the GHACF Facebook page and vote for the project you prefer - benches along the bike path, a drinking fountain at Water Tower Park, or an expanded gravel parking lot at Water Tower Park. Voting closes October 18.

The Spring Lake Department of Public Works has set up a bagged leaf collection site at the DPW building, 16747 150th Ave (off M-104 across from Lakeside Auto).

Only leaves may be dropped off, and they must be bagged in biodegradable paper bags.

Please place your bagged leaves in the designated area behind the facility, on the far south side. The area is designated by signs and fencing. DPW staff will place the bags in the dumpster as needed.

The site is open October 27 to December 1, 2021.
