Spring Cleaning
Now that the weather is getting nicer, it's time to clean up after the winter. Spring Lake Township has some resources to help you.

Dumpster Day - Saturday, May 18, 8am to noon for Township and Village residents only.

Burn Day - Saturday, May 18, all day. A permit is required.

In addition, we provide a space for dropping off unwanted medications at Fire Station #1, 106 N Fruitport Road. Drop off is available 8am to 5pm weekdays. Remove your pills from the bottle and put them in a plastic bag. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department will handle the disposal.

Smart 911
The Spring Lake Fire Department, in conjunction with the Ottawa County Central Dispatch Authority, is supporting the Smart911 program. This free service allows citizens to create a Safety Profile for their household that includes any information they want 9-1-1 to have in the event of an emergency. The details you include in your Safety Profile will only become available to a 9-1-1 dispatcher and emergency responders when an associated phone dials 9-1-1 and a call is received by a participating center. To sign up, visit Smart911.com.

Honor Rewards for Veterans
The Ottawa County Clerk's Office is offering Honor Rewards, which allow Ottawa County veterans to sign up to receive an ID card which can be used to receive discounts and benefits at local participating businesses. This is a tangible way to say "thank you" to local veterans for their service.
