OLLI at SOU NEWSFLASH

If you participated in the course request lottery, notification of the classes in which you're enrolled and/or waitlisted have been sent out. 

If you do not see notification by the time this Newsflash goes out, here are two tips to check your lottery assignments:

1. Check your spam or junk mail folder.
2. Sign into your OLLI at SOU account and click "My Account" in the upper right, then choose 4. Course List. This will show which courses for which you are registered and which you are waitlisted.

When you've got your results in hand, take another look at the OLLI at SOU spring catalog, and see what else you'd like to take when open enrollment begins Monday, March 25. At that time, you may add as many classes as you like from the dozens of courses available.

As you review your schedule, please promptly drop any courses that you decide not to attend in order to open up space for others to enroll. Just email the office at [email protected] with "DROP" in the subject line and provide the name of the course(s) you wish to drop or call 541-552-6048.

Our Spring Term Special is still going! Encourage your friends, neighbors, and acquaintances to try OLLI at SOU for only $75. Spring Term runs April 1–June 7.

Registration Helper Hours

Any member interested in learning to register for courses online catalog is invited to Registration Helper Hours.

Registration Helper Hours allow members to drop by for online registration assistance. Our Helper Hours will take place in Room A of the SOU Campbell Center:

• Monday, March 25, 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, March 26, TBD

Member-volunteers will be on hand to help you create an account, add classes to your cart, and checkout. This is a much faster way to get courses you want than turning in a paper copy to the office.

Please stop by during these helper sessions and take advantage of our online registration system!

Registering for Hybrid Courses

We have several hybrid courses this spring. Hybrid courses are when two sections are offered at the same day/time: one online and one in-person. For hybrid courses, please register for only one participation option: either in-person or online.

• The in-person section is noted with an "A" (Ashland) or "M" (Medford) at the end of the course number. The in-person section of See Like a Geologist: Coastal Landscapes is S24STEM314A.
• Only members on the roster for the online section will receive the Zoom link for the class. The online/Zoom section will not have a letter at the end of the course number, e.g., 24STEM314.

If you found that you registered for the incorrect section, please notify the OLLI office immediately. The office cannot guarantee a switch to the other section can be made, as each section has a maximum capacity. Thank you for your cooperation!

This course is even open to non-members. All they have to do is call 541-552-6048 to register. Spread the word to anyone you know who has expertise in a certain subject and might be interested in teaching at OLLI.
