SPOTLIGHT
Meet Riley West - The Talent Behind Our New Media Partnership
| |
Meet Riley West, the owner and creative force behind Blue Skye Media, our newest media partner. Riley brings a passion for real estate marketing and content creation that started with a simple observation: many listings weren’t being presented in a way that truly captured their best features. Driven to change that, he built a business focused on the kind of visual storytelling that resonates, helping homes connect with buyers long before they ever walk through the front door.
At Blue Skye Media, Riley and his team offer a full suite of services designed to make every listing stand out — and now, thanks to our partnership, we’re able to include a free professional photo package with all Staged Interior projects. But that’s just the beginning of what they do:
-
Enhanced Real Estate Photography — Crisp, professionally edited photos that showcase a home’s best angles and finishes — with a next-day turnaround.
-
Video Tours — Dynamic listing videos that bring spaces to life and tell a story buyers can see and feel.
-
3D Tours — Engaging, interactive walkthroughs that let buyers explore every corner of a home online.
-
Drone & Aerial Footage — Breathtaking aerial views that showcase property features, lot size, and neighborhood context.
-
Social Media Reels & Content — High-impact video shorts and reels crafted to boost engagement and visibility across social platforms.
What sets Riley apart is not just his technical skill, but his understanding of how real estate media works as a marketing tool. He builds content that doesn’t just look good — it performs: driving views, generating leads, and helping listings get noticed faster.

SWEET SUCCESS
Under Contract in just 6 Days!
| |
We’re excited to share another standout staging success from 2855 Oak Knoll Drive in Falls Church, VA — a newly built builder spec that went under contract in just six days. Even in a market where buyers are thoughtful and selective, this home proved that when design, scale, and presentation align, strong results follow quickly.
From the moment buyers stepped inside, the home made a powerful first impression. The entry set the tone with clean lines, generous proportions, and sightlines that immediately showcased the home’s scale. We staged this space to feel welcoming yet refined, allowing buyers to take in the architecture while feeling guided naturally into the main living areas.
| |
The main living spaces were designed to highlight both flow and functionality. In the living room, seating was arranged to emphasize conversation and comfort while still showcasing the room’s size and connection to adjacent spaces. Layered textures, neutral tones, and intentional spacing allowed the room to feel elevated without overwhelming the architecture.
The family room was styled as the heart of the home. Seating arrangements highlighted comfort and connection, while maintaining clear pathways and visual balance. This space was designed to feel relaxed yet intentional — a place buyers could picture unwinding at the end of the day or gathering with friends and family.
| The kitchen was a true focal point of the home. With its expansive layout, high-end finishes, and generous island, our staging focused on reinforcing how this space functions as both a workspace and gathering area. Bar seating was styled to suggest casual meals and conversation, while subtle styling details helped soften the room and make it feel lived-in and approachable. | Adjacent to the kitchen, the dining area was staged to showcase both everyday use and entertaining potential. Proper scale and placement were key here — allowing buyers to easily imagine hosting dinners, holidays, or quiet family meals without questioning how the space would function. | In the office, staging emphasized versatility. This space was presented as an adaptable environment — from work-from-home offices to creative spaces or quiet retreats — helping buyers understand how the home could evolve with their lifestyle. | The primary suite was staged as a true retreat. Soft, layered textiles and calming tones created a sense of rest and privacy, while furniture placement reinforced the room’s generous scale. The goal was to help buyers immediately feel a sense of separation from the rest of the home — a place to recharge and unwind. | The lower level was staged to highlight flexibility and livability. Whether imagined as a media room, recreation space, or guest area, the layout was clearly defined to help buyers see the full potential of this additional square footage — not just as extra space, but as an extension of everyday living. | |
The result was a home that felt complete, polished, and ready for its next chapter. By helping buyers emotionally connect to each space and understand how the home lives as a whole, the staging played a key role in generating strong interest and a fast sale.
Six days on the market is a powerful reminder that thoughtful staging doesn’t just showcase a home — it helps buyers move confidently and decisively.

Trick of the Trades
Preserving the Finishing Touches
| |
When preparing a home for market, every detail counts — not just how a space looks, but how the elements within it arrive and stay looking their best. One staging step that often gets overlooked (until it’s too late) is protecting accessories and décor during install, turnover, and showings — and the simplest tool for the job? Good old-fashioned bubble wrap.
Bubble wrap isn’t just packing material — it’s one of the most effective ways to preserve the condition of decorative objects, fragile accessories, and finished surfaces throughout the staging process. Whether you’re moving items into a newly staged home, rotating seasonal décor, or prepping for open houses, thoughtful protection prevents bumps, scrapes, and breakage — keeping everything showroom-ready from day one.
| Accessories — from ceramic vases and framed art to sculptural accents and glassware — are often the final touches that bring a room to life. But these pieces are also some of the most delicate. During staging installs and updates, they’re handled frequently, moved between rooms, and occasionally shared between jobs. Without protection, even a minor knock or slide across a tabletop can cause chips, cracks, or scratches that compromise the styling and ultimately cost time (and money) to repair or replace. | |
BEHIND THE SCENES
Celebrating Connection: A Galentine's Night Out
| |
Behind every successful project and polished presentation is a strong sense of community — and this month, our team had the opportunity to step away from the day-to-day and celebrate exactly that.
Our ladies recently attended a Galentine’s event hosted by Shelley Draheim from the Long & Foster office, one of our longtime and much-valued clients. The evening, aptly titled Girl’s Night Out Paint & Sip, was the perfect blend of creativity, connection, and fun.
Set in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, the event invited guests to paint Valentine’s cards while enjoying a glass of wine — or two. Laughter flowed just as freely as the conversation, making it a refreshing break from busy schedules and packed calendars. It was a reminder of how important it is to pause, connect, and enjoy the relationships that make our work so rewarding.
