Via Forest Hills Connection: DDOT is presenting traffic analysis findings from its Connecticut Avenue reversible lane/bike lane study at ANC meetings this month, including a virtual town hall meeting hosted by ANC 3F on Wednesday, February 24th at 7 p.m. The 90-minute meeting will be split between DDOT's presentation and questions from the community. The power of poetry to amplify Black voices is a thread that brings authors Candice Iloh and Amyra León together for a compelling discussion about expression. Iloh’s Every Body Looking and León’s Concrete Kids (Pocket Change Collective) discuss the power of resilience and the absolute importance of creating space for marginalized groups. UDC VIRTUAL OPEN HOUSE: CAREERS IN NUTRITION
As the only accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) in Washington, D.C., the University of the District of Columbia program offers a curriculum rich in nutrition, science, and experiential opportunities at federal and local agencies throughout the nation’s capital. The DPD program is part of UDC’s College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES).
CAUSES is committed to educating the next generation of nutrition professionals to promote health, combat nutrition-related disease, and reduce health disparities among urban and underserved populations. Graduates of this baccalaureate program will earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Join them Monday, March 1, 2021, for an overview of the program, a discussion of dietetic internships, and exploration of career possibilities. The virtual open house is from 5:00 pm-6:30 pm. A link to join the open house will be provided to all registrants. Learn more, here.
