Hand-Made Quilt Presented to
Furniture Sharehouse
Thank you to the New Rochelle Public Library Sewing Class who donated a beautiful handmade quilt designed and created especially for Furniture Sharehouse.
The Sewing Class, which has met weekly since 2024, is directed by Susan Wolman, our BFF from the Village Squares Quilters ("VSQ"). Susan conceived the idea of class members making this special quilt for FS as a way to bring them together. She directed them in cutting and assembling the squares; VSQ volunteers added the adorable backing, the binding and the intricate quilting. Finally, Susan added two matching pillowcases, and the result is stunning.
We have been fortunate to receive many beautiful quilts from VSQ over the years to share with our clients, but this may be the most vibrant yet! We plan to raffle it off over the summer and one lucky client will take it home to brighten his or her home and hopefully pass it down as a family heirloom.
Thank you New Rochelle Public Library Sewing Class, Susan and VSQ members for this beautiful gift!
