Hello John,

We hope you are excited for this upcoming summer, that you're enjoying some warmer weather, getting outdoors for cycling, and thinking of diving into those first open-water swims.

We have several exciting announcements below that we'd like to share about our Triathlon Series and the Niagara Falls Barrelman.

Series Updates

Gravenhurst

Get ready to Jump, Swim, Bike, and Run at one of our most memorable events! Since moving to June, we've enjoyed perfect racing temperatures and quieter roads.

The International Distance Duathlon on Saturday, June 7th will be the lone opportunity in Ontario to qualify for the Standard Duathlon, where we’ll offer one (1) spot per age-group.

Join us for a scenic and challenging course! Register HERE today as spots are limited!

Rose City (Welland)

At our newest Olympic Distance race in Rose City (Welland), we’ll offer one (1) spot per age group for Standard Triathlon and Standard Aquabike – what we still call the Olympic Distance - on Saturday, June 21st.

Featuring a fully closed Bike Course around the Welland International Flatwater Centre, a two-loop Run Course that passes in front of the Grandstands four times, and a Swim Course in what we like to call Ontario's Largest Outdoor Pool!

Registration in the Olympic has already doubled the former Long Course, so it looks like this was exactly what you wanted at this time of year!

The same fully closed Bike and Run Courses are featured on Sunday for our Sprint and Give-It-A-Tri, and we've been able to extend to a 10km Loop! Click HERE to register today.

Bracebridge

Race in Cottage Country and wave to Santa at his summer home on the Bike Course. We're now hosted one week later in July, putting it clear of some other major races.

One (1) spot for Sprint Duathlon will be offered in each five (5) year age group on Sunday.

Barrelman Niagara Falls

We are proud to be celebrating 10 years since the inaugural Barrelman Niagara Falls all the way back in 2014! Barrelman has received glowing reviews from thousands of finishers and nearly all have recommended it as a great choice for a first race at the 70.3 distance.

The race is close to home for those in Ontario, Quebec, and New York. Barrelman has flat and fast courses, and you’ll see lots of familiar faces to encourage you along the way. Add to that the numerous attractions for all manner of family fun in Niagara Falls and you’ve got the perfect combination for a fall goal event - click HERE for more information and take advantage of new garment upgrades until August 3rd!

We are extremely excited to announce two significant changes to the Barrelman weekend: the addition of NEW Olympic Distance race; and a major change to the Barrelman Bike Course giving us nearly 70km of closed roads.

The Olympic Distance race features a protected swim in the Welland International Flatwater Centre, a FAST and FLAT Bike Course with 25 km of closed roads, and a scenic 10km Run in Niagara Falls.

The NEW Bike Course for the Barrelman Distance will now ride directly from Welland to the Niagara Parkway and complete two loops before heading to Kingsbridge Park.

This very well-paved section of the Parkway will be completely closed to vehicular traffic! We believe this will be a positive addition to the overall race experience.

If you’re looking for a goal race this Fall, why not consider adding Barrelman to your list and join us on Sunday, September 14th in Niagara Falls – click HERE to sign up today!

MultiSport Canada continues to support local Canadian businesses, and we are thrilled to announce Ontario-based Chappell Digital as our new Photography provider. We will continue to supply free photos following each event, and you can download your favorites.

You'll recognize Kyle Chappell from last summer, as he shot all the amazing event videos. Check them out and get excited for the return of Triathlon Season this summer!

Looking forward to seeing you this summer,

Jason Vurma, Carolynne Simons, Andre Gordon, and the MultiSport Canada Team
