OVER 14,000 STUDENTS SERVED
in this year's Education Program!
What a GREAT year we enjoyed!
The Sandler Center Foundation's Education Program served 14,368 students and provided full funding for 81% of those students, so they could attend the special matinee performances. Funding is reserved for students who attend a Title I school in the Hampton Roads region or for other schools/programs that serve students from low-income households.
FIRST SENSORY-FRIENDLY PERFORMANCE

In addition to a successful Education Program, the Sandler Center Foundation hosted its first sensory-friendly performance of A Sick Day for Amos McGee on March 19 th . We had a fantastic response! The performance was part of our new larger special-needs initiative. The sensory-friendly performances are designed to create an opportunity for individuals with sensory-input disorders, autism, or other developmental or cognitive disabilities and their families or caregiver to experience the performing arts in a welcoming and understanding environment.
Many thanks to this year’s Education Program Sponsor,
Consumer Real Estate Group, LLC ,
and all of our donors who believe in the important impact performing arts have on children’s education.

Giving Circle meetings are from 6-8 PM on the following dates in 2019: April 11 th , April 25 th , May 9 th , May 23 th , and June 6 th .
